How to Calculate THE COST OF Longarm Quilting

At Sweet Gum Quilting the price of longarm quilting depends on the size of your quilt top, measured in total square feet (TSF) and the quilting design chosen. There are additional charges for quilt preparation, batting, backing fabric and binding (if required).

The final cost is calculated during the Quilting Design Process.

Step 1 - Measure Your Quilt Top

STEP 2 - calculate the total sqaure feet

To calculate your quilt's square feet, multiply the width and length (in inches) and then divide by 144.

STEP 3 - ChoosE a quilting design

Sweet Gum Quilting has an extensive library of digital quilting designs. You can choose an all-over light and soft meander or a more intricate edge-to-edge design.

CUSTOMISED & custom QUILTING

Most edge to edge designs can be customised to include text such as a name or special message.

Custom Quilting is when different quilting designs are used in sections of the quilt. For example, each quilt block is individually quilted, applique outlined, or the border has a separate quilting design. Prices for custom quilting vary and are quoted during the design process.
